MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT ANNOUNCED AS PART OF SEASON-LONG 'STARS AND STRIPES' INITIATIVE WITH TOYOTA
The 76ers and Toyota announce details for Saturday’s Military Appreciation Night as part of the season-long ‘Stars and Stripes’ initiative.
The NBA, its teams, and its players have a long history of collaborating with the military. The Philadelphia 76ers and Toyota’s annual “Stars & Stripes” initiative enhances the NBA’s mission to honor the military and their families, veteran-serving organizations, and retired servicemen and women.
“The 76ers are proud to partner with Toyota for our seventh year to recognize our veterans and active military throughout the season, and in a big way during Military Appreciation month,” said Owen Morin, Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships. “We are so thankful for the individuals who sacrifice to protect our freedom and this is just one small way we can express our gratitude.”
Celebrated throughout the season and highlighted in November, Toyota and the 76ers are committed to serving the local military community and giving back to those who have sacrificed to protect us.
The 76ers and Toyota have teamed up to honor active and retired members of the military at home games throughout the season to show appreciation for their service.
In partnership with Toyota, the 76ers honor active and retired members of the military and their families during November through volunteerism, youth basketball, and in-arena celebration.
On Saturday, Nov. 12, during their game against the Atlanta Hawks, the 76ers celebrated more than 500 active and retired servicemen and women during various recognitions throughout Military Appreciation Night.
