The Suns introduced their two new rookies, Serbian forward Zarko Cabarkapa and Brazilian playmaker Leandro Barbosa, during an afternoon press conference at America West Arena on June 27. The Suns addressed their two biggest needs in the draft, selecting "Z" with the 17th pick, adding a big shooter that can spread the defense, and then acquiring Barbosa via a draft night deal with the Spurs to backup All-Star Stephon Marbury.
